The valet parking boys were busy this week. With over 5000 bikes in attendance it would have been impossible to keep up even if they would have been involved. Needless to say the valet spots were overcome by self serve parking and nobody but the riders themselves touched these bikes. Sorry valets. |
How's this for a nice clean row of bikes? Every parking lot within miles had equal numbers stacked in as tight as they would fit. If someone pulled out another was waiting to squeeze in. Falling dominos would have been a thousand bikers worst nightmare. |

I've heard of helmet hair but this takes the case. I saw this guy a few miles outside of town where they had the road blocked and lined with bales of hay for a "sanctioned" motorcycle drag race. Believe it or not this was probably one of the more normal looking dudes at the event. I took lots of photos of individual custom bikes but it would take forever to load these on a page like this. We stayed three days at the River Run and visited many manufacturer booths as well as hundreds of aftermarket vendors. There was enough leather at this place to stretch from one side of the continent to the other end. All the famous California builders and painters were there showing off their work. This event was the West's version of Daytona Bike Week. This border town in the desert along the Colorado river came alive with color and sound unlike anything I have ever seen or heard. A week wouldn't have been time enough to see all there was to see. THE END |
